The 11th Ringier Technology Innovation Awards - Metalworking Industry, now call for entries until January 20, 2016. Only new or upgraded products and solutions launched during 2014-2016 in the China market are eligible to enter the Awards selection process.

The 11th Ringier Technology Innovation Awards - Metalworking Industry, now call for entries until January 20, 2016. Only new or upgraded products and solutions launched during 2014-2016 in the China market are eligible to enter the Awards selection process.

In 2016, the Awards consist of 9 categories: Metal Cutting Machine Tools (Turning, Milling, Boring, Grinding, Gear Machining); Metal Forming Machine Tools (Sheet Metal, Wire and Tube Processing Machines); Special Manufacturing Technology (Laser Cutting, EDM, PAM, ECM); Tools, Abrasives, Clamping Devices, Measuring Tools and System; CAD/CAM/CAE Software, CNC system and other processing system; Functional Tools and Accessories (include Lasers); Fluid Coolant and Lubricant; Automation and Other products or technologies. The innovative technology and products in laser industry is also brought into 2016 metalworking awards, such as lasers, laser processing systems etc.

Following the Entry & Nomination Stage, the evaluation process combined of judge panel and online voting by end-users will take place from February 1 to 19. Entries for each innovation Awards category are short-listed by the panel of judges. The public can vote for the winners via the official website or wechat platform "RingierMetalworking" of the Awards.

Worth to mention is that the specially established prize - “Most Popular R&D Technician” will also be presented this year. The new added award is aimed to recognize those who have made great innovative contributions to the metalworking industry in R&D field. Only one winner whose product gain the most votes selected by the judging panel and online voting will be awarded the honor.

Winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony, which will be held in conjunction with High Performance Machining Technology Conference 2016 – Precision Machining & Metal Forming on April 12 in Shanghai, when all the winners, judges, end-users and media friends will be present.

Nominations are open to all and the final selections are made by the panel of independent judges combined with online voting by end users. Simply put, the awards cannot be bought!

In 2015, 40 innovative products, including Grinding Machine for Complete Machining of Solid Carbide Tools from Vollmer TaicangCo.Ltd., J1VL-500FT Four Spindles NC Vertical Lathe from Jinan First Machine Tool Co., Ltd., Swiss GT 26 Lathe from Tornos Technologies (Shanghai) Ltd., were recognized as winners.

The Ringier Technology Industry Awards – Metalworking Industry is organized by Ringier Trade Media and International Metalworking News for China Magazine. They are recognized as being the most honest, transparent and fairest of such Industry Awards in China. Since 2006, the awards have been successfully held for 10 years. The purpose of the Awards is to encourage, acknowledge and reward those individuals and companies who have introducedand developed a new idea, a new methodology, a new product or a new technology for manufacturing productionefficiency, cost effectiveness, user convenience, which might result in energy saving and more responsible clean manufacturingin the metalworking industry.
