Delivering Patient Centric Healthcare November 29-December 2, 2011, Sheraton Towers Hotel, Singapore Web: www.electronichealthasia.com

Billions of dollars are now being assigned to electronic health records (EHR) implementation projects globally in the quest to transform the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of healthcare delivery and patient records. Asian countries are moving quickly, with Singapore now in the first stage of the implementation of EHR and with many more countries looking to integrate IT systems and move towards seamless patient record management.
Now on its third year, IBC Asia's Electronic Health Records conference is the annual meeting place for Asian countries looking for the latest information in regards to the implementation of seamless patient record management. This year's event, taking place in Singapore from November 29 to December 2, 2011, will bring together senior health IT executives and decision-makers from both public and private hospitals and healthcare groups to discuss the progress, challenges, and issues in relation to the implementation of EHR across the region. The 3rd Annual Electronic Health Records presents a platform for attendees to meet with key players and gain valuable insights into leading pilots from across the region as well as learn from actual case studies on best practice EHR implementations.
Stephen Rainey, Director of National Implementation Services at Singapore's Ministry of Health Holdings, will touch on his experiences with "Going Live with NEHR ‘One Patient, One Record' Seamless National System", while Suresh Ponnudurai, Malaysia Healthcare's CEO, will share insights into Malaysia's efforts "Towards EHR 2015" and the "Role of the Private Sector in EHR Implementation". Professor Hsu Chien-Yeh, President of the Taiwan Association for Medical Informatics and Professor at the Graduate Institute of Medical Informatics of Taipei Medical University, will also be on hand to discuss "EHR Developments in Personal Health Records in Taiwan".
Besides opportunities for healthcare providers and industry stakeholders to track current EHR implementations and projects across Asia, this year's program will also profile important current and future issues for the industry, including interoperability and implementation strategies and challenges, privacy and ownership issues in relation to patient data management and security, the potential benefits of linking EHR and clinical trial recruitment, and creating seamless and global after systems for EHR and medical tourism.
Attendees of the 3rd Annual Electronic Health Records will also find out how to use technology innovation to facilitate remote medical treatment and understand the impact of new technologies—including cloud and mobile devices—for EHR.
Hear directly from expert speakers from across the region, including Dr. Karanvir Singh, Consultant Surgeon and Head of Medical Informatics, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, India; Benedict Tan, Group Information Officer, Singapore Health Services, and Director IT, Singapore General Hospital, Singapore; Dr. Kazuhiro Hara, Professor, Department of Medical Informatics, Kagawa University Hospital, Japan; Melvin Choi, Chief Information Officer, Adventist Hospital, Hong Kong; Dr. Peter Lee, Senior Consultant, John Hopkins Hospital, Malaysia; Robert Pickton, Chief Information Officer, Abu Dhabi Health Services (SEHA), UAE; Professor Dato Dr. Jai Mohan, Professor of Health Informatics and Pediatrics, International Medical University, and Vice President, Malaysian Health Informatics Association, Malaysia; Michael Czapski, Principal Sales Consultant, Oracle Health Sciences; Dr. Pawel Suwinski, Healthcare Consultant, Malaysian Genomic Resource Centre, Malaysia; and Associate Professor Dr. Adam Chee, Chief Advocacy Officer, binaryHealthCare, Singapore.
