PATH Water aims to reduce the use of single-use plastic for beverages. Tell us how the motivation first came about.

Yes, that statement accurately reflects the motivation behind PATH. The company was founded with the goal of reducing the consumption of single-use plastic bottles for beverages. The motivation stemmed from a combination of environmental concerns surrounding the proliferation of plastic waste, particularly in the form of single-use bottles, and a recognition of the need for more sustainable alternatives in the beverage industry. Additionally, increasing consumer awareness and demand for eco-friendly products may have played a role in inspiring the founders to create a solution that addresses the issue of plastic pollution while offering a convenient and sustainable alternative to traditional bottled water.

 

What are the company's sustainability targets this year?

We are currently working on a PATH to 1 Million! PATH's sustainability targets also include reducing the amount of plastic waste generated by single-use products, increasing the use of recycled materials in our packaging, minimising our carbon footprint through efficient manufacturing and distribution processes, and supporting initiatives aimed at environmental conservation and protection.

 

Please describe the aluminum used in PATH Water bottles.

The aluminum used in PATH bottles is carefully chosen for its quality and durability. PATH's bottles are designed to be robust yet lightweight, ensuring ease of use and portability. These bottles are crafted to withstand daily wear and tear while maintaining structural integrity. Additionally, the aluminum material is selected for its recyclability, supporting PATH's commitment to environmental sustainability.

 

Apart from recyclability and reusability, does aluminum provide other benefits when used for bottling beverages?

Apart from its recyclability and reusability, PATH offers numerous advantages when utilised for bottling beverages. One key benefit is its lightweight nature, which facilitates easier transportation and handling, thereby reducing associated costs and carbon emissions during shipping. Additionally, PATH’s exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion ensure the freshness and purity of the contained beverage, even after multiple uses. Its ability to shield against light, oxygen, and other external factors preserves the flavour and quality of the beverage over time. Moreover, PATH’s versatility allows for various bottle sizes and designs, enabling customisation for branding and marketing purposes.

 

What materials are used for the graphics and labels? Can these easily be removed before the recycling process for aluminium?

The graphics and labels cannot be removed since they are printed on. However, they can be recycled along with the aluminum. The graphics and labels will not affect the recycling process.

 

For the drinking water, are there different types of water available from PATH?

Yes, we have still, sparkling, alkaline, and flavoured sparkling water! We also currently have PATH custom, Spongebob collection, Paw Patrol, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Some other things we have are PATH pure, PATH sleeve, and PATH swing cap.

 

Does the company see itself branching out to other sustainable products or engaging in new activities that are in line with its vision?

As PATH continues to grow and succeed, the company remains committed to its vision of promoting sustainability and reducing plastic waste.
