Advanced packaging for fresh produce

NEW packaging for fresh produce takes advantage of developments in modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) to increase the shelf life of fresh produce. Launched by StePac, a wholly-owned subsidiary of UK-based Johnson Matthey PLC, the packaging will allow retailers to extend the shelf life of whole fruits, vegetables, fresh-cut salads, and herbs, and as a result, reduce waste.
