Hoffmann Group in Asia Pacific is celebrating the Asia premiere of its new individual output system for tools at Singapore Airshow 2018

The company also launched RFID tagged GARANT ToolCar at Asia largest aerospace and defence event at Changi Exhibition Centre.

The GARANT Tool24 PickOne gives total control over the consumable materials, as the employees must sign in to the system before their withdrawal compartment opens. Initial experiences have shown that using secure individual issuing can reduce losses; up to 50% for safety gloves or earplugs. A prototype of an RFID-tagged GARANT ToolCar on the other hand will give visibility of the status of all the tools stored in the ToolCar as well as information on who has taken out a tool at a specific date and time. This product has been tailored to the needs of the Asian market and is designed to meet the specific requirements of this region.

GARANT Tool24 PickOne is available in different standard models from the warehouse. The customer has the option of selecting from four different withdrawal compartment sizes and can use a modular principle to individually design the dispensing cabinet. With a loading capacity of up to one tonne (1,000 kg), GARANT Tool24 PickOne also enables around-the-clock management of solid carbide tools and other heavy items. This is possible as the system is set up for 24/7 maintenance-free operation.

GARANT Tool24 PickOne can be combined with all products from the GARANT Tool24 product line and operated with the same software. Perforated tool panels on the left and right sides of the automatic dispenser enable the neat attachment of Easyfix holders and brackets – again showing the consistent system concept implementation of Hoffmann Group's GARANT workstations and storage. Like all workstations and storage, GARANT Tool24 PickOne is available in ten standard colours, and upon request also in selected special colours.

Hoffmann Group has created a prototype of an RFID-enabled GARANT ToolCar to enhance the visibility of the tools stored in the ToolCar. To achieve this, each tool is equipped with an RFID Tag. The ToolCar only allows authorized users to unlock the drawers to withdraw or return tools after use and automatically reads out the RFID tag to determine the person, tool, date and time of the transaction. According to the company´s needs, even more information for tool management can be stored on the RFID tag, for example tracking dates for calibration, and alerts indicating when tools are not returned after a designated period of time.
