Flexco, a global single source for light-duty endless and mechanical belt splicing solutions, offers the Alligator^® Spiral Lace fastener system. that is specially designed for applications where a non-metallic mechanical belt fastener is desired for ease of belt installation or quicker belt cleaning.

Alligator Spiral Lace is a low-profile splice that is fabricated into the belt through a variety of vulcanising techniques. Depending on the installation method, it can operate over pulley diameters as small as 12.5 mm (1/2”) and is available in white polyester for applications demanding FDA approved materials, black polyester for general applications, or PEEK for high temperature applications.

Alligator Spiral Lace is a non-metallic splice that is ideal for food or pharmaceutical processing. It also suits applications that require non-marking/non-scratching splices for products that are delicate and easily scratched.

The hinged splice produced by the Alligator Spiral Lace fastener system makes initial installation quicker and belt sanitation easy. Operators can simply remove the hinge pin and separate the belt, sanitize, and reinsert the pin to join the splice together again.   

Alligator® Staple

Alligator Staple fasteners are furnished in strips with a bridge between each fastener plate. The strip design minimises the chance of individual parts dislodging into the conveyed product. The one-piece design provides a stronger splice, greater resistance to impact damage, and a smoother, ripple-free joint that simplifies pin insertion.

Staples are hammer driven through the belt, working between the carcass fibres without severing them. They are then clinched cross-wise to the belt so that the belt tension does not pull against the staples to unclench them.

Clipper® Wire Hook System

The Clipper® Wire Hook System features a low-profile design and quick and easy installation made for package and parts handling, general manufacturing, filtration, food processing and others.

A double-staggered grip pattern gives Clipper wire hooks exceptional holding power without degrading the integrity of the belt carcass. The hooks also have a very low profile, making them increasingly more compatible with conveyor components and compliant with the need for reduced operating noise.

Clipper wire hooks are designed for use in a variety of applications with several different wire diameters, leg and point lengths, metals, strip lengths, and styles, such as Unibar® and carded hooks.

FGP Food Grade Precleaner

The FGP Food Grade Precleaner, is easy to install and maintain cleaner that disassembles in less than a minute for regular cleaning and sanitation. The simple design features stainless steel components and FDA-approved, food-grade materials that limit negative spaces and crevices, which can encourage bacteria growth. There is no need to remove the cleaner from the structure for cleaning, sanitising, and blade changes because of the snap-in-place design of the blade.

The FGP Precleaner can be used from the time the food is harvested to the finished product. It meets strict sanitary guidelines and has been certified by the USDA for use in meat, poultry, and dairy operations.

Novitool® Aero® Splice Press

The Novitool® Aero® Splice Press features state-of-the-art technology and the exclusive Aero Recipe Management Tool for producing consistent, high-quality endless splices. The air-cooled press is easier than ever to operate, producing endless splices in a fraction of the time of water-cooled presses.

The press effective heat zone has the ability to control heating temperature for top and bottom separately, forced air cooling in both top and bottom, intuitive HMI controls, and USB connectivity with recipe management capabilities for increased splice quality.

The makes endless splicing easier and more precise on the Aero Press. Users can either manually enter or import recipes via USB flash drive. Recipes are stored in “groups” on the Aero Press by belt manufacturer, customer, and other categories for easy organisation.
