The Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) of Taiwan brings together Taiwan major players from the machine tools, machinery equipment and metal fabrication industries to exchange market intelligence and explore business opportunities in the regions of Latin America.
On 5 November 2015, BOFT at National Taichung University of Science and Technology held the conference of “Market Analysis and Business Opportunities on the machine tools and machinery equipment markets in Latin America", which aims to provide Taiwan machine tool builders, equipment makers and suppliers with the latest development of Latin America industries and also the entry strategies of these markets. The seminar attracted an impressive total of 154 manufacturers and associations from 79 companies in Taiwan.
Keynote speakers include David Luna, Li Minxi, and Huang Li . At the conference, they talked more of the trade situation and entry framework of Mexican metalworking markets. For examples, David Luna, Metalmecánica chief editor gave insights into the automotive industry in Mexico, and analyzed Mexican machine tool market trends and the application markets. Li Minxi, Deputy Economic Counselor, Department of Investment Services, Ministry of Economic Affairs talked about the trade situations in Latin America and also an in-depth market analysis in Mexico. Huang Li, Deputy Director, Topology Research Institute presented Taiwan machine tool makers Mexico market entry strategies. When we look to Latin America markets for growth, Mexico is certainly one of our targets.
