BOSCH Packaging Technology is collaborating with Klenzaids to set up a 49:51 joint venture intended to primarily benefit Indian customers with a broader range of products and services for customers. Klenzaids will contribute its expertise in clean-room and processing technologies as well as peripheral systems, and Bosch will contribute its strength in innovative filling technologies.
With the green light from antitrust authorities, starting July 1, 2015, Klenzaids will be expanding its business to include sales and service of imported Bosch systems for the pharmaceutical industry in India.
Hamish Shahani, managing director of Klenzaids for many years, has assumed the role of CEO for the joint venture. “In the future we will continue to aim for profitable growth, innovative strength, reliability, motivated associates, and cultural diversity. We will be able to pursue all these values even better together,” he said.
Bosch associates who already work mostly out of Mumbai will transfer to Klenzaids headquarters. All other Bosch and Klenzaids sales and service experts will continue to serve Indian customers from their existing locations. The aim is to offer customers continuity in their points of contact while also enabling associates at both companies to pool their knowledge and experience.
Shreedhar Anehosur, the JV’s COO, has worked at Bosch for the last 17 years and played a major part in building up the Verna location in the state of Goa as the local engineering head.
