Organized by Beijing-based Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, the 66th China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF Autumn 2011), Asia Pacific's biggest event serving the entire value chain for the medical devices market, together with the 13th International Component Manufacturing & Design Show, was held last October 31-November 3, 2011 at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center (FSICEC), Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, China.

CMEF, which was founded in 1979, is held twice a year—in spring and autumn. After more than 30 years of continuous innovation and self-improvement, CMEF has become the largest exhibition of medical equipment and related products and services in Asia Pacific. The exhibition widely covers product categories such as medical imaging, in vitro diagnostics, optics, medical electronics, first aid, dental, rehabilitation, emergency, laser, ultrasound and radiology, laboratory equipment, hospital furniture and consumables, healthcare IT, outsourcing, and medical publications. CMEF provides services to the entire medical industry chain from the source to the end-user in a direct and all-round way. Show visitors include decision-makers, medical doctors and surgeons, procurement specialists from hospitals, distributors and agents of medical equipment, laboratory technicians, and representatives from research institutes and clinical laboratories.

The theme of the 66th CMEF is "discovering solutions for the primary healthcare," which promotes a professional platform solution package for the medical industry through business procurement, academic exchange, educational sessions, and customer experience. The 66th CMEF has attracted over 2,400 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions to exhibit, and the total space is over 110,000 sqm consisting of over 5,600 booths. It is estimated that more than 120,000 professional visitors from over 100 countries and regions visited the fair. More than 300 new products and technologies were released and over 20 meetings and seminars were held, which definitely paved the way for a grand meeting of the Chinese medical devices industry.

The 67th CMEF Spring 2011 will return to the Shenzhen Exhibition Centre, Shenzhen, China, on April 17-20, 2011.
