DTI supports ProPak Philippines

Processing and packaging solutions introduced at ProPak Philippines are expected to help raise quality, food safety and supply in the country.  

THE FIRST ProPak Philippines opens on 24 - 26 January 2019 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, Pasay City. Patterned after UBM’s successful processing and packaging events in Asia, the exhibition in Manila aims to provide the right solutions for the country’s processing and manufacturing industries.

Over 180 exhibitors are expected to be at this inaugural event. International pavilions are confirmed from mainland China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan and the UK. Over 6,000 industry trade visitors looking to source for new products and latest technologies, and potential business partners that will help generate and support growing business.

The Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), represented by Undersecretary Zenaida Maglaya of Regional Operation Group of DTI signed its support for ProPak Philippines on 19 September 2018, with Mr. Dexter Deyto, General Manager of UBM Exhibitions Philippines and organiser of ProPak Philippines, and Lt. Col. Joseph Ross Jocson, President of Packaging Institute of the Philippines (PIP). The signing was witnessed by Mr. Clarke Nebrao, MSME Development & Exhibits Director of PIP, Mr. Kervin Valero, Press Relations Officer of Philippine Printing Technical Foundation and Mr. Justin Pau, Project Head of ProPak Philippines.

UBM and PIP believe that with DTI’s support, the exhibition will help local MSME's and the industry improve and develop local production, quality, food safety and supply.
