DUKANE Corporation will demonstrate its latest equipment and solutions at NPE 2015.
The company’s products are designed to give plastic part manufacturers more flexibility and efficient process control with significant cost reductions. Its iQ Series i220 Integrated Servo Driven Ultrasonic Welder, for instance, eliminates the variability associated with pneumatic press components to improve process repeatability and accuracy. Its patented Melt-Match (R) technology ensures precise control of the collapse speed profile during the weld to precisely match the collapse speed during the melt phase, resulting in the ultrasonic propagation penetrating deeper into the bond area for superior bond strength.
The integrated all-electric servo technology is a self-contained unit with Dukane’s patented iQ Series Generator/Power Supply housed within the press. With most components built-in, the welder has fewer cables and a smaller footprint. The easy-to-install machine provides the efficiency and reliability of a 100% digitally controlled, Multi-Core iQ Series power supply with the precision of an advanced servo press.
The iQ Series i220 can connect with any computer incorporating Dukane’s iQ Explorer software. This program provides access to the weld data, machine controls, and storage of machine setups on the LAN or over the Internet for remote locations.
The company’s iQLinQ (TM) enables end users to reduce engineering costs, integration risks, and total costs in developing and delivering plastic assembly solutions. It runs on Dukane’s iQ Series Generators and comes in different optional modules to connect PLCs with generators using prevalent Fieldbus and/or Industrial Ethernet communication protocols. This means users can have an array of options to interface generators with automated systems. They can control the weld process, set up multiple weld parameters, and obtain real-time data or previous cycle data remotely from their PLCs, all of which lead to efficient process control that in turn brings high yield and quality at lower costs and downtime.
The iQLogiX (TM) provides flexibility with its reconfigurability feature and eliminates the need for all the other electrical components. The module can simply be inserted into the rear card slot of an iQSeries Ultrasonic generator and the Ultrasonic Module Menu Adapt (UMMA) feature of the latter will populate the menu of the iQ Explorer II user interface with all the programmable options. No special programming hardware is needed to save, copy, or change the program.
