Filtermist announces new ASEAN distributors

In line with efforts to boost presence in the ASEAN region, Filtermist has recently appointed an additional four distributors: MESCO Inc. of the Philippines, PT. Frisindo Mitra Usaha of Indonesia, Yamada of Thailand, and Hopkim Vina  of Vietnam.

The UK-based oil mist collection specialist awarded the official distributor certificate to Manila-headquartered MESCO during the recent visit of Filtermist managing director James Stansfield and Asia Business Development manager Desmond Teo.

Mr. Stansfield and Mr. Teo also visited Indonesia and Thailand to present distributor certificates to new partners in both countries.

Jakarta-based PT. Frisindo Mitra Usaha is the second Indonesian distributor for Filtermist following the appointment of PT Javatec in July 2014. Hopkim Vina joins Vietnam’s first distributor, SOS Environment, which started selling Filtermist units last year. Yamada in Thailand is a Japanese-owned company.

Filtermost noted a significant increase in its sales of oil mist collectors in the ASEAN region following the establishment of Filtermist Asia Pte in Singapore in 2013. The company has since appointed a number of local distributors. It has also set up its filtermistasia.com website to provide customers with easy access to its wide range of products as well as share technical information.

According to Mr. Stansfield, “A growing global awareness of health and safety issues means we have witnessed a dramatic increase in demand for our extraction units. We have put a number of measures in place to capitalize on this opportunity and ensure our customers can access local support throughout the ASEAN region.”

MESCO has been supplying quality machine tools, engineering products, and technologies to industrial organizations and manufacturers for more than 50 years. The company aims to be recognized internationally as an outstanding provider of metal manufacturing technology in the Philippines.

“MESCO is a distributor for a number of well-known machine tool manufacturers, including Mazak. It has demonstrated a commitment to promoting the brands it supplies and we are confident that it will make significant gains in raising Filtermist’s profile throughout the Philippines,” Mr. Stansfield said.

PT. Frisindo, which was established in 1989, counts Doosan among its suppliers. This makes the distribution agreement with Filtermist an excellent fit for both companies.

“We have extensive experience of supplying units for use on Doosan machine tools. PT. Frisindo’s existing customer base of Doosan users provides significant opportunities for Filtermist to tap into,” Mr. Stansfield stated.
