Frigel now has 34 models in its Heavygel Air-Cooled Chiller range

FRIGEL has nearly tripled its line of modular Heavygel 3HL and 3HM air-cooled central chillers to provide users only the chilled water capacity they need now – with the flexibility to readily and cost-effectively add capacity later. The expanded line of chillers comes with new features to ensure operational efficiency and optimal performance, further contributing to the bottom line.

The air-cooled Heavygel chillers now in 34 models can deliver anywhere from 79 to 1428 kW (26 to 393 tons) of cooling capacity. Multiple models are available for operation in ambient temperatures that range from -15 to 55^oC (5 to 131^oF), making them well suited for use virtually anywhere in the world.

Heavygel chillers are also available various configurations, including units designed to connect to external pumping systems, to completely packaged systems that already contain all needed auxiliary components. A variety of condenser fans, such as variable speed units that automatically adjust to varying loads and ambient conditions, offer even more options to address the cooling needs of the operation.

Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity & energy efficiency

The chillers come with Frigel’s 3PR control technology for Wi-Fi and Ethernet capability needed to connect to building management systems, while also providing easy access to a wealth of operational data.

3PR technology allows users to control and optimize all aspects of the chillers. Frigel technicians can also remotely access the control system and view real-time data when needed to help with troubleshooting or assistance to improve equipment performance. Another key feature is robust onboard memory capacity to continuously store vital operating conditions for later analysis and further system optimization.

Designed to deliver industry-leading EERs (energy efficiency ratings) to reduce operation costs, the chillers use environmentally friendly refrigerants. Additionally, high-efficiency scroll, multi-scroll or dual-screw compressors are available, depending on required cooling capacities.
