At AMB, DATRON AG presented not only high-speed milling machines and tools, but also the innovative DATRON next control system’s new features and the brand-new DATRON MXCube for demanding industrial applications.

Proven cost-effectiveness with a future-oriented control system
Already at the time of its market introduction last year, the (r)evolutionary DATRON next software was convincing across the board. One of its big highlights is the patented combination of the interior camera with the touch display and an XYZ sensor, allowing the workpiece's zero point to be set up simply by swiping, thus avoiding the time-consuming input of complex data. Since the introduction of DATRON next, the software has been constantly evolving to include other impressive features such as automatic height compensation for uneven blanks or the easy setup of protected sections in the work area.

With the development of the new software, DATRON AG has proven that both, digitization and core elements such as functionality and user-friendliness are the focus of new DATRON innovations. “Our aim is to simplify complex processes to ensure ongoing reliable production,” explains Thomas Frank, Member of the Board responsible for Sales and Marketing. The highly dynamic high-speed milling machine DATRON MXCube with 8 kW power and multiple, interesting features such as an innovative portal design and highly dynamic machining is also convincing.

High-speed cutting with the highest precision and dynamics
When looking through the large viewing window during machining, the strikingly high dynamics with which the axes move the stiff portal and the powerful 8 kW high-frequency spindle can be noticed. In combination with the high spindle speeds and the possible feeds, the machine efficiently works its way through the material and also produces surfaces of outstanding quality. Steep angles on all inclined surfaces and a chip conveyor ensure reliable chip removal. An innovative tool changer concept with a magazine outside the machining area provides space for multiple tools and increases process reliability and productivity. The 1,000 mm x 700 mm work area is as generous as usual compared to the floor space required by the machine. Thus, the DATRON MXCube is the perfect solution for demanding industrial applications, taking DATRON's high-speed cutting to a completely new level.

With DATRON as a partner, users in the industrial sector no longer need to resort to any other specialists. After all, DATRON customers not only expect future-oriented machine construction, but also milling tools of the highest quality and the availability of a comprehensive range of advice and services.
