Designed for gas compression and process cooling, the screw compressors boast high safety features and operational stability
GEA is showcasing screw compressors compliant with the API 619 standard at ACHEMA 2015, which will run in Frankfurt, until June 19.
Available in 24 model sizes, the screw compressors meet the high safety requirements of gas compression and process cooling in the chemical, oil, and gas industries. They feature rotor position and sleeve bearing temperature monitoring system to ensure greater operational reliability.
The compressors are designed for the compression of natural and synthetic refrigerants in process cooling for chemical processes and process gases. They have also been approved for use with flammable gases and compression of natural gas and gas mixtures such as in compression stations in natural gas and biogas plants.
The API screw compressors from GEA cover a swept volume of 231m³/h to 11,467m³/h at 2,940rpm. They can be equipped with cast steel casings, maintenance-free tilting-pad thrust bearings, and double shaft seals. Depending on project requirements, they can come with extended mechanical test runs and more comprehensive documentation.
