High resolution mass spec system available for routine testing use

THE latest X-Series mass spectrometry (MS) platform from SCIEX boasts a new industrial design consisting of bespoke models that are fully loaded with improved, user-friendly software, methods and libraries custom-designed for targeted customer applications.

SCIEX, a global leader in life science analytical technologies introduced the first model in this platform, the X500R which is made for routine food, environmental and forensic testing labs based on extensive customer input. A key feature of this model is its ability to provide routine testing labs with high resolution MS technology that is not only robust but tailored to users’ requirements so labs can deliver clear, accurate results without performance trade-offs.

Each system in the X-Series family of HRMS systems can meet specific needs of targeted end users. The X-Series uses the all-new SCIEX OS software, a redesigned operating software boasting a single, simple user interface to acquire data, process and review results, and easy to understand reports.

Data acquisition capabilities now include SWATH^TM Acquisition, MRM^HR acquisition, information dependent high resolution MS acquisition (IDA), and high speed MS/MS scanning. The ease of serviceability will ensure uninterrupted operation of the instrument and maximize uptime for the lab.  The system is designed to keep pace with a lab’s evolving needs.
