A LEADING wine-maker in Italy has opted for a labeling machine which features the OPERA 500 27T MODUL. The machine from Sacmi is configured with five different labelling modules, two which use self-adhesive technology and three designed for cold glue applications.
The modules incorporate the most important developments: they are compact and feature the latest generation of brushless motors that control labelling platform rotation and ensure absolute reliability and efficiency. More specifically, the three modules for cold-glue label application are designed to control the application of both front and rear labels and the special quality seal. The remaining modules use self-adhesive technology and allow labels to be applied on both the front and rear of the bottle.
Capable of working at ultra-high speeds, the five installed modules allow output rates of 14,000 applications an hour whatever the format. Customers also get considerable added value from the LVS 002 B (Labelling Vision System) integrated on the machine; developed by Sacmi’s Automation & Service Division, this solution can, thanks to a system with six high definition cameras, run real-time, high-speed, error-free checks on label application and orientation. It can also identify any raised logos, glassworks codes and glass seams.
