Riding on the booming market, HOFEX brings the heat to the entire Asian food and hospitality industry

ASIA’S hotel industry is going to require dozens of new luxury hotels, to keep up with the increase in tourist arrivals. This in turn is creating growing demand for a complete range of hospitality equipment, technology and systems. This vastly growing Asian markets is bringing the heat to HOFEX 2011, the International Exhibition of Food & Drink, Hotel, Restaurant & Foodservice Equipment, Supplies and Service, which takes place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from 11 – 14 May.

Held biennially since 1987, HOFEX never fails to impress industry players with new and exciting elements in every edition. Expansion of this segment is part of the exhibition's growth as manifested by two other events:
Hong Kong International Culinary Classic 2011 (HKICC) has grown enormously since debut and the upcoming edition is the first ever to be certified by the World Association of Chef’s Societies (WACS) as one of the five international competitions. Co-organised by the Hong Kong Chefs Association and well supported by numbers of industry’s associations, HKICC 2011 will introduce two new categories, titled "Live Chocolate Showpiece Competition” and “The Dream Team Challenge".

Asian Hospitality Technology Education Conference (AHTEC@HOFEX 2011), held for the first time on 12 - 13 May, is co-organised with Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP), producers of the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC). The conference is designed to deliver to the Asian hospitality industry a direct vehicle for expert perspective on the evolving technology market.
