With ongoing growth in the country’s food and beverage sector opening significant opportunities for manufacturers, Ingredion is expanding in Vietnam with a sales office to offer customers greater support.

INGREDION Incorporated (NYSE: INGR), a leading global provider of ingredient solutions, today announced the opening of a new sales office to strengthen its brand presence and accessibility in Vietnam.

The company recognises that the Vietnam market will contribute significantly to further growth in the region and is placing an increased focus on the country. Plans involve establishing more comprehensive on-site sales and partnership resources as well as enhancing logistics and operational support facilities. Additionally, Ingredion will strengthen its Ingredion Idea Labs® on-site capabilities to accelerate innovations in food and nutrition and maximise collaboration opportunities with customers.

Rishan Pillay, vice president and general manager, Ingredion ASEAN and India

Ingredion’s location in Ho Chi Minh City positions the company to meet the dynamic needs of the Vietnamese market by better delivering value-added services, technical advice and sales support to Food and Beverage (F&B) manufacturers. Customers will also enjoy a strong synergy with recent regional expansion plans that further augment Ingredion’s resources in the Asia-Pacific region.

“There is much potential in Vietnam,” says Rishan Pillay, vice president and general manager, ASEAN and India at Ingredion, who cites that the growth speed of Vietnam’s F&B industry could see an annual double-digit growth of 10.9% in 2017 to 2019, with consumption demand largely focused on food and necessities.

“We are keen to contribute towards Vietnam’s new chapter and look forward to building strong partnerships with F&B manufacturers to create on-trend, consumer-winning products,” he concludes.
