Special focus

nterPlas Thailand 2017 aims to serve the high demands for raw materials in the plastics, composite and high performance material industries by organizing with its “Chemical & Raw Materials Zone”. This zone will serve as a gathering place where global suppliers of chemical and raw materials such as Zeal Chemicals Co., Ltd., TBC Import-Export Co., Ltd., Withaya Intertrade Co. Another special focus is on packaging. Today, the economy in Thailand sees demands for convenience, especially with regard to packaging, which has to be easy to use and store. With consumers being more on-the-go, packaging that is easy to carry around, such as PET bottles for non-alcoholic drinks, also grew in popularity rapidly.

Plastics packaging is expected to register positive volume growth, with the expected improvement in Thailand’s economy set to benefit the employment rate and consumer disposable incomes.
