Cibus Tec highlights the best of Italian food and beverage processing products and machinery

Guidoparma Srl offers design, construction, and installation of food handling and storage. It customizes overhead rail systems and related equipment as well as automation, including sliding doors, elevator, and sectional doors.

Cassioli Srl provides automatic storage system with satellite (iSAT), a warehousing solution for companies with high density storage needs. The shelvings offer multiple channels within which the pallets can be handed via iSAT which operates in various configurations. The pallet is deposited using a forklift or stacker crane, and from this position, the load is taken by the satellite and transported automatically across the lane until it reaches its storage position. The advantage of such system includes the ability to shrink pallets in the front or rear of the rack to the channels via iWARE. It can be used in areas where goods must be maintained at controlled temperatures.

Prisma Industriale established in 1984, is an expert in inspection and quality control, and now has a range of models for checkweighing, metal detection, X-ray inspection, as well as integrated machines in different configuration to meet space requirements, and the DMT software for centralized monitoring of production lines.

PEN-TEC specializes in in-line quality control, offering checkweighers, metal detectors, and X-ray inspection systems that meet FDA, HACCP, AND OIML R51 standards. The company’s software collects and manages production data via an Ethernet LAN, and communicates bidirectionally with the PEN-TEC control systems existing in the production lines such as checkweigher, metal detectors (detects stone, bone, HD plastic, metal, splinters of cement, etc), and static weight platforms. It allows monitoring of production rates in real time, and to modify machine settings remotely.

Vaigo Italia designs and produces equipment that make full use of milk whey and scotta (lean whey), thereby eliminating dairy waste. Whey, the liquid left over after cheese has been strained, has many uses, including cream, butter, protein powder, and ricotta.

In a standard plant, the company offers storage and standardization of fat milk whey; skimming, churning, and packaging of both butter and cream; concentration through UF selective membranes or the separation of whey proteins; reverse osmosis; vacuum concentration to increase the percentage of solids of milk whey; and refrigerated storage of concentrate or crystallization; production of ricotta, protein powder, and whey powder; storage of residue leachate; treatment of anaerobic fermentation for biogas; co-generation of electricity, as well as production of hot water or steam by using biogas.

FBF Italia specializes in CE-certified high pressure homogenizers including laboratory homogenizers that operate with manual adjustment for pressure via hand wheels. Easy to install, they do not require water for cooling pistons. The company also manufactures positive displacement pumps.

Deucinox, maker of milk equipment, showcased its mini pasteurizer at Cibus Tec. Made of stainless steel with double wall, the machine has an electric heating in a water bath, and a drain valve and probe for the product, as well as features manual management of the heating and cooling phases. It has a standard capacity of 30 to 60mL. The company also offers yogurt makers, tanks for milk transport, equipment for animal husbandry, stainless steel equipment (cheese press pneumatic action, tubs for making mozzarella, and drainage table with or without moulds).

Deucinox mini pasteurizer

Established in 2004, MicroMilk specializes in the production and marketing of lactic ferments at direct and semi-direct inocule. The ferments made for dairy area products offer value-added uniformity and consistency to finished products.

Faber manufactures cheese processing machines including the CUPE’ cutting line for cheese cubes and shells. This 90x120x140cm stainless steel machine is used to obtain cubes and shells from moulds of grained hardened cheese that were previously peeled and flattened, and shaped into discs. Once the machine platform is loaded on one side, the cube or shell production cycle starts, or more specifically the horizontal/vertical pushers operated by brushless motors start, transferring/accompanying the discs in a planar manner under the blade, and the shells/cubes are produced according to the feed motion of the pusher and cutting blade.

Cutting line for cheese 

R.B.S. Pumps moved from precision grinding for equipment to developing stainless steel pumps for different applications ideal for transfer or replacement of beverages, vinegar, liquor, and viscous fluids, as well as non-edible liquids. The pumps are made with the lost wax casting system in stainless steel AISI 316L-EN1.4404 for all components.

Etipack provides industrial labeling equipment for companies that require machines or systems as well as friction feeders and pick and place devices. Among those for the food and beverage market are labelers for bottles, cans with body label and tamper-evident seal, thermoformed trays, and sachets with Velcro system. The international company also offers a feeding device for the distribution of promotional collars on bottles, and its GoCard thermal printer for printing and coding of loose cards.

Pulsar Industry presented its Dynamic 2016 departmental software, a new version that features upgraded efficiency and productivity control operations, and upgraded warehouse management, already implemented by important retail centres that require high performance picking operations. The Dynamic includes traceability, tracking and quality charts management, and can read and compare all function data as to provide graphics of efficiency and productivity in real time.

The software has been employed in fishery, dairy, and meat industries as well as in bottling of preserves, fruit juices, oil and vinegar.

ILAPAK, part of the IMA Group which has 38 production plants across the globe, specializes in packaging solutions including form, fill seal – modified atmosphere, horizontal (HFFS), and vertical (VFFS) packaging, sachets, product handling, as well as complete fully automated lines. One of its solutions is the VFFS for grated cheese. It consists of the Vegatronic 6000 VFFS machine featuring continuous motion for packing dry or wet products in different bag styles (pillow, block bottom, Quattro, EasyPack, and Doy) and the Weightronic WA 16-10 Slim (multi-head weigher) available in small, medium and large volume hoppers for extremely high-speed applications.

The Delta 6000 Box Motion HFFS packaging system for cheese blocks is also available from ILAPAK. The Delta comes with optional MAP and allows customers to replace their pre-made bag solutions with lower cost film from a reel. With strong hermetic seals, as well as ultra-hygienic full stainless steel construction, the machine can withstand a vacuum cycle, making it ideal for larger sized fresh meat and cheese products. 

IPM Italia introduced resin coverings and floorings that meet the needs of the food and retail sector. The IPM Basic Agro Solmix and the IPM Basic Agro Sol 150 are especially made for the agro-food areas, although they fit right well for use in other industries requiring hygiene. Moreover these new systems are resistant to high temperatures and support heavy loads and strong mechanical stress, in addition to containing antibacterial additive.

Among Tecoma Drying Technology’s products are drying systems for food as well as waste recovery.  The Gatedryer is for liquid or pumpable products (organic and inorganic); while the Flashdryer is for semisolid products or wet powders (organic and inorganic).

Industry 4.0 in action

A complete line for pre-sliced cured meat was one of the special showcases at Cibus Tec 2016. Boasting the benefits of industry 4.0 for slicing up to packaging, the line consisted of equipment and expertise from Dansensor (electronic devices for quality assurance of packages), Frigomeccanica (refrigerator systems), Frigor-Box (pre-fabricated coldrooms, refrigeration units, insulation), CEIA (metal detectors and electromagnetic inspection devices), ELS (labelling systems), GEA (process technology and components), Mondi (packaging) Pulsar Industry (automation), SIAD(food safety), Veripack (thermoforming and traysealing machines).

A complete line for cheese wedges exhibited the combined technologies of Societa Cooperativa Bilanciai ( weighbridges, weighing systems, and weight control and labelling), CEIA (metal detectors and electromagnetic inspection devices), Gelmini (cheese and meat machines), LM (handling and conveying equipment), Mondi (packaging), Pulsar Industry (automation), and Veripack (thermoforming and traysealing machines).
