Oil mist collectors manufacturer Filtermist International announced that Kamogawa Vietnam has joined its growing distributor network in the ASEAN region.

Established in Japan in 1949, Kamogawa works closely with a number of Japanese machine tool manufacturers, including Star Micronics and Tsugami, to ensure its customers can access the best quality machine tools and after sales services.

“ASEAN countries offer significant potential for Filtermist,” says Filtermist Asia’s Business Development Manager, Desmond Teo. “Our strategy is to work with different types of companies to ensure customers have as many opportunities as possible to encounter Filtermist and find out about the benefits of using our oil mist collectors.

“Our distributors in Vietnam include an environmental pollution control specialist, and cutting tools and metalworking fluids suppliers. The addition of Kamogawa means we are working with a machine tool distributor with an excellent reputation for providing a full service for customers.”

Filtermist oil mist collectors effectively remove oil and coolant mist, fume and steam generated in a wide range of manufacturing applications including grinding, turning, milling, parts washing and EDM / spark erosion. If left in the atmosphere, oil mist can cause a number of health issues and can also pose a fire and slip hazard.

All manufacturers that use machine tools for metalworking should ensure they are protecting people from exposure to oil mist by installing and maintaining an effective extraction system.

“We firmly believe that oil mist extraction should be an integral part of all machine tools, not just an after-thought,” continues Desmond. “Our partnership with Kamogawa means its customers will be able to benefit from clean workshop air as soon as their machine is installed.

“The company will also be offering a retro-fit service for any manufacturers that recognise the importance of maintaining a healthy workplace, but have not yet installed effective oil mist extraction.”

Filtermist offers local support in more than 60 countries worldwide through a network of carefully selected distributors, including companies in Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, as well as Vietnam.
