MEDICA MEDIA to focus on Health IT

DüSSELDORF – Trade event MEDICA MEDIA recently announced a new name, MEDICA HEALTH IT FORUM, to highlight the change in focus to a platform for Health IT. The MEDICA MEDIA label will, however, be retained for the time being.

MEDICA MEDIA started out as a small section of MEDICA, a medical trade fair in Düsseldorf, in 1987. Then known as the “MEDICA Media Street,” the section used to serve as a source of information on the possibilities of practice administration programs. In 1998, MEDICA MEDIA offered an expert forum with presentations and expert discussions integrated in the MEDICA trade fair. The range of topics covered steadily grew due to the rapid IT-based progress in medical practices and hospitals.
