MEDTEC China 2012: Highlights and important events

SHANGHAI – Attendees of the MEDTEC China 2012 Conference, to be held from 26-27 September 2012, may also opt to go to co-located conference and technical forum programs. The programs comprise a two-day Regulation Conference and four technical forums on Orthopedic Devices, Drug Delivery Devices, Diagnostic Devices, and Cardiovascular Devices.

Day 1 of the regulation conference will feature a review of “SFDA Regulation Status and Trends, SFDA Regulation Changes and Impact for Medical Industry”, Device GMP & GHTF Relationships, as well as updates on EU and US FDA regulations. Day two activities will include talks such as ISO 14971's Risk Management Implementation In The Existing Quality System, How to Establish a Quality System in a Medical Device Trading Company, and Quality System's Establishment In Global Transfer Project.

The technical forums will be divided into four half-day sessions on both days of the conference. The Orthopedic Device Technical Forum will be held on the morning of 26 September with six presentations, while the Drug Delivery Services will be addressed in the afternoon session of Day 1 with five presentations.

The Diagnostic Device Technical forum, with five presentations in total, will be held in the morning session of Day 2, while the cardiovascular device forum will be held in the afternoon.

MEDTEC CHINA 2012 will also host the Business Matching Program, a value-added service in Hall 4 that will link MEDTEC exhibitors with MDTA and CNIMPLANT members. The aforementioned associations will send an electronic newsletter to their members with a link to a "Business Matching Form." Recipients interested in the program can select up to three MEDTEC exhibitors that they would like to meet in person for business discussions during the event after accomplishing the form and a questionnaire.
