Micronutrient premixes for diverse end products

MANUFACTURERS can add extra health benefits to their food products by using micronutrient premixes. Those from SternVitamin can be tailor-made to fortify a diversity of end products formulated for any age group. These target-group specific concepts permit diversification of the range and thus open up additional sales potential.

New features of the range include the Relax Premix, directed towards people at work and students preparing for examinations. On hectic working days the combination of active ingredients helps to achieve relaxation without causing sleepiness: the user stays wide awake but feels less nervous and stressed. To achieve this effect SternVitamin composes the premix with ginseng extract, niacin, pantothenic acid and the vitamins B₆, B₁₂ and C. According to the health claims the vitamins help to reduce fatigue and promote normal functioning of the autonomic nervous system. Pantothenic acid ensures normal metabolism of the steroid hormones, vitamin D and certain neurotransmitters.

At Hi Europe, which takes place from November 29 to 1 December 2016 in Frankfurt, the Relax Premix will be showcased in gum candy. The premix can be used in soft drinks, teas, and snacks as well. 

Relax Premix is just one example of SternVitamin’s many possible concepts. The focus is on customized micronutrient premixes for the fortification of foods and the production of food supplements.
