Food & Beverage
The company’s new die concept for the production of MultiFresh skin packs on traysealers ensures a high level of pack quality

AT IFFA 2016, Multivac will introduce its latest die concept on the T 800 traysealer, an automatic packaging line. The new concept will offers a space-saving, reliable and high-performance solution for skin-packaging different products with a high degree product protrusion.

With this new concept, all the stages for the process take place within the die – without restricting the use of the full die format. This also includes the heating of the skin film. This controlled process ensures a high level of pack quality and output.

Since only the die and grippers have to be changed to carry out the format change, machine downtime is also reduced to a minimum. Modified atmosphere packs or packs without modified atmosphere can also be produced on the traysealer.

T 800 traysealer

The high-output T 800 traysealer is suitable for packaging large batches and can be operated from both sides, and it can be integrated into automated packaging lines. The T 800 line consists of a denester with tray tracking, conveyor belts, a metal detector, an L 310 conveyor belt labeller for top and bottom labelling, and an H 130 handling module for handling finished packs.

Multivac will also introduce a diverse range of products for loading on automated traysealer lines, such as multihead weighers, portion-to-pack systems and various fillers. The traysealers can packfillets, steaks, mince, burgers, chicken wings, ready meals and many other products.

In cooperation with leading film manufacturers, Multivac has approved a film range for producing vacuum skin packs, and this enables high-quality packs to be produced for a wide variety of products and requirements.

IFFA 2016, a platform for the meat industry is scheduled from 7-12 May in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Vist Multivac at Hall 11.1, Stand C11.
