The Asia Plastics Processing Technology and Innovative Materials Summit 2018 (September 6-7) will reveal the upcoming trends for cost-efficient production. 
Indonesia is once again the fitting venue for Ringier Events’ Asia Plastics Processing Technology and Innovative Materials Summit 2018. To be held in Jakarta, Indonesia on September 6-7, this is the second edition of the highly successful Summit launched in 2017 and participated by more than 180 delegates.   
 
The Asia Plastics Processing Technology and Innovative Materials Summit  presents the latest trends and future developments in plastics processing technologies and innovative materials as applied in Indonesia’s dynamic sectors such as automotive, packaging, consumer electronics and construction/infrastructure. Highly informative technical presentations from today’s leading industry experts in Asia will provide delegates with an overview of the innovative design techniques, processing technologies, automation and smart manufacturing tools, high-performance plastic materials and advanced recycling and waste management technologies.  
 
The event guarantees informative topics and dynamic discussions with industry experts such as Mr. Henky Wibawa, Executive Director of Indonesian Packaging Federation (IPF) who will talk about Industry 4.0 as it impacts the packaging sector; Mr. Claudio Domasi, Sales Director of Frigel Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. who will discuss the importance of intelligent cooling solutions for the plastics industry; Mr. Frans Mandeko, Business and Technology Development Manager at PT Dharma Precision, who will talk about collaborative automation in the wake of Industry 4.0 era; and Mr. Billy Tjang, Managing Director, PT Bilplast Grapindo, who will provide an overview on the growing plastics production trend in Indonesia.

In the area of high performance materials, presentations focus on the latest materials and how these will impact finished products. Mr. Widodo, Advanced Material Division Manager at PT 3M Indonesia, will talk about injection plastic productivity improvement using Microsphere filler; Mr. Kenneth Lam, Senior Development Specialist of Plastics Technical Service & Development, Asia Pacific of Trinseo, will present on the latest breed of resins that are ideal for a variety of industries; Dr. Asmuwahyu Saptorahardjo, Technical Advisor of PT Inter Aneka Lestari Kimia, will discuss how starch can be processed into biodegradable bags; Mr. Tan Wei Kar, Sales & Marketing Manager of Ever Polymer Co., Ltd, will provide an interesting presentation on how TPEs can be applied in various industries; and Mr. Stefan Barot, Senior Business Director of Total Corbion PLA, will share how a new generation of polylactic acid or PLA can be effectively applied for packaging, as well as present end-of-life solutions.
 
An important issue on the use of plastics is waste management and recycling and the Summit will devote sessions on this with presentations from Ms. Christine Halim, Owner and President, Asosiasi Daur Ulang Plastik Indonesia, who will to talk about the challenges of the plastic recycling industry in the era of Industry 4.0; Ms. Emenda Sembiring, Associate Professor at the Institut Teknologi Bandung, will share the potential use of plastic waste for pavement; while Ms. Retno Hapsari, Manager at   XSPROJECT, will present how transformed trash can change lives. Other resource persons will deliver information-packed presentation on various aspects of plastics production.
