PLASTINDIA, India's major exhibition for the plastics industry, is all set to hold its 9th edition at a new and modern venue in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat from February 5-10. The well-designed exhibition venue is a massive and futuristic 125,000 sqm space which will house 2000 exhibitors, including the world’s and India’s leading companies engaged in plastics industry.
All segments of the plastics industry are represented: polymer producers, compounds and masterbatch suppliers, additives manufacturers, processed plastic products, processing machinery, downstream conversion equipment, moulds & dies, and other service providers.
With more than 60% of India’s plastics industry being located in the State of Gujarat, the venue will definitely host some of the biggest players from this sector. Outside India, exhibitors from 40 countries/regions will be present with country pavillion from U.K., France, Australia, Germany, China, Taiwan, etc.
The six-day mega event, Plastindia 2015 will reveal the cutting edge technological developments, equipments and products, with more innovations compared to the previous edition.
It will also host concurrent events to draw the attention of the entire plastics and polymer business community. The 9th International Conference is a 2-day conference with the theme “GATEWAY TO INNOVATIONS. This is particularly relevant in current context as Indian plastics industry is driving towards specialty products and positioning plastics in innovative applications.
Plastindia 2015 will have a bigger, more modern venue
Another important event is the 7th Plasticon Awards which will have 25 different Award Categories, including three new categories for Indian participants and have opened up four for international participants.
The 26th Asia Plastics Forum, which is the Meeting of Asian Plastics Federation, will have representatives from 12 Asian countries deliberating on issues of sustainability of plastics with special reference to plastics waste and its management; latest recycling technology; marine litter management and regeneration of energy from non-recycled plastics waste.
One area segment that should not be missed is the Innovation Pavilion. Apart from the aforementioned concurrent events Plastindia will be having an Innovation pavilion for the first time and is going to be an exciting place to visit for all interested in modern development using plastics.
