Polymer testing an important process toward product quality

Sentra Teknologi Polimer (STP) is dedicated to be a competent partner to the polymer-related industries. After STP’s inauguration in 2001, it has already achieved accreditation for ISO 17025, followed by ISO 9001.
STP is a non-private organization aiming to improve the quality and broaden the scope of service by making available polymer testing to industries in Indonesia.

According to Rianna Yenni Sinaga, representative of the marketing department of STP, “STP helps customers solve their problems about their materials, especially for general products likes additives,  fillers and other raw materials. We also advise companies on the best equipment to use given their requirements and targets.”

STP team holds discussions with customers on their problems and on quality issues that could result from the use of certain raw materials, then makes recommendations to meet customers’ targets.  Customized training programs are also conducted, with topics covered including basic of polymer chemistry, polymer types, commodities and thermoplastics engineering, engineering plastics, composite materials, plastics characterization methods, types of testing, testing equipment, usability, and practicability of measurements and plastics processing.
