The taps cover all tensile strengths from 300 to 1400 N/mm2: The TC120 Supreme with a 45° helix angle makes it possible to reliably produce threads up to 3 × DN in soft and medium-strength steels. The TC120 Supreme stands out thanks to its partial TIN coating in the chamfer section, which increases the tool life, a special geometry to prevent bird nesting and the extra-long threaded part to reduce fractures. The TC121 Supreme is suitable for threads up to 2.5 × DN in steels with medium tensile strengths between 800 and 1250 N/mm2. The tap with a 40° helix angle and a geometry which ensures tightly rolled chips combines maximum tool life with a high level of process reliability.
The TC122 Supreme with a 15° helix angle ensures a long tool life in medium-strength to high-strength ISO P materials. It can produce thread depths up to 1.5 × DN without internal cooling, while up to 2.5 × DN is possible with internal cooling. With internal cooling, the specialist in high-strength steels is increasing process reliability by flushing out the chips. The hardened tap features a special geometry which breaks the chips so that they are extremely short, as well as a TiCN coating. As a "package", the three HSS-E and HSS-E-PM taps offer particular benefits for users who want to machine a wide range of steel materials – for example in general mechanical engineering. As individual tools, they impress in their specific range of applications.
