Established in 1987, FORWELL Precision Machinery Co. Ltd is engaged in the quick die change system for the mechanical press. The company believes that professionalism is at the core of every aspect of FORWELL's business development plan. Managing Director, Wen -Lung Hsiao talks to International Metalworking News for Asia (IMNA) about its products and future plans.

IMNA: Please introduce Forwell's core machinery products and main features.
Wen -Lung Hsiao: FORWELL specialises in quick-change mould and die change systems for punch presses, injection moulding machines including die casting machines, as well as PCB fine piercing systems and other automated equipment. The company has strived to master its craft, achieving both CE and ISO 9002 certifications.
FORWELL's Quick Die Change System (QDCS) provides to the diversity of all kinds of press quick die change specific components. This system not only reduces the punch of idle time. It contributes to enhance the production capacity, making production management more even-handed.
FORWELL's Quick Mould Change Systems (QMCS) are available to all kinds of injection machines, die-casting machine mould diversity quick die change special components. This system not only reduces the mould injection machine during free time but also expands production capacity, cut-back production time, reduces retooling process, and increases worker's safety.

IMNA: What are the competitive advantages of FORWELL'S QDCS and QMCS?
Wen -Lung Hsiao: FORWELL specialises in "automatic quick mould changing system" and relevant automatic equipment, which independently created the FORWELL brand at the beginning of the business. Through more than 20 years of diligent operation, it has been recognised in many industries, stablished enterprise identification systems, achieved ISO and CE authentication, set up plants in mainland and marketing channels, successfully developed punching machine, oil pressure, ejection, die caster and other automatic mould changing trolley systems. At present, FORWELL is keen in developing "worldwide automatic mould changing system," and has succeeded in marketing internationally.

IMNA: Where will Forwell's R&D efforts focus on in the coming years?
Wen -Lung Hsiao: FORWELL will focus on incremental improvement to its existing QDCS and QMCS models or new innovation. The company concentrates in the production of automated die changing systems for stamping and injection moulding machines among others. It  has planned the development of "FORWELL Engineering Research and Development Centre" along with four new large departments this year in order to respond to demands for sustainable development of the industry, as well as market developments on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The four departments will include the Moulding Department, Stamping Press Department, 3C Department, and Manufacturing Department.
At the same time, the company is progressively moving forward in its development plans for an automated die storing system and is also redoubling its efforts in its professional labour division system developments. These efforts are helping FORWELL achieve its technological leadership goals and to become Asia's leading manufacturer in the automated rapid die changing system industry.

IMNA: What are FORWELL's major projects this year?
Wen -Lung Hsiao: This year's focus is on the application of automatic die changing systems and the development of an automatic die storage system for injection moulding machines. Also, FORWELL is working to develop a die changing cart line that satisfies every operational demand.
