The company provides packaging machines, including form-fill-seal machines. Mr Wolf is positive about growth in the region.

According to David Newell, General Manager and Business Development Director at Matcon - IDEX Asia Pte Ltd, there is a change in the mindset of Asian manufacturers in the way their production has to be run. To meet the expectations of their customers, manufacturers are switching from low cost to newer and more efficient and flexible solutions, says Mr Newell. Customers are also looking to improve hygiene in their production systems, and are becoming more brand-conscious when shopping for new machinery.  Matcon was at ProPak to exhibit its Discharge Station, and targets SMEs not only in Thailand but in the rest of South East Asia.
