Plastics and rubber parts production has played a vital role in Thaland's manufacturing structure. And with the demand of the global market today for products with the precision and features that meet stringent standards, production has focused on new trends in technology and the development of new skills that can be utilized to enhance production. The "17th edition of Thailand's Largest Plastics and Rubber Technology Trade Exhibition and Conference?more popularly known as InterPlas Thailand 2008, with theme 揚assword of Success: INJECT Your Technology揻eatures products that meet the needs of plastic and rubber industrialists in every area of the industry -- from upstream to downstream process, from materials to production parts. The show serves as onestop shop for those wanting to source from Thailand's fast-rising plastics and rubber industry, as well as take a look at recently launched products from all over the world. The success of the show has been reflected in the more than 43,000 visitors that attended last year's edition. As the definite source of connections and a venue to expand network, the show provides an integrated platform for machinery, technology, accessories and materials for the plastics and rubber manufacturing industries. This year's highlights will also include many innovative machineries used in plastics and rubber products manufacturing, as well as future technology from worldwide brands such as Yuasa Trading from Japan, Chumpower from Taiwan, Mitracom from Germany and Gala Industries from USA, etc. under one roof. A special feature this year is a pavilion named “Composites International 2008"supported by the Thai Composites Association. The innovative materials in this pavilion are very solid and strong, and mostly used in aerospace, automotive, electronics, building and construction, as well as home decoration industries. It is believed that this range of new materials would replace metal or iron in the near future. In addition to the exhibit, a series of conferences has been scheduled and are designed to serve human resource development in an industry where expertise and technical skills are import factor. The conferences are geared towards skills and knowledge development with focus on innovative technology on plastics and rubber. Another aspect and goal of the conferences is the establishment of positive work attitude and improvement in management. These areas that the conferences will cover are expected to provide utmost benefits for visitors, especially to manufacturers who would want to become major industry players in the Southeast Asian region. The hot issues this year center on 揼lobal warming, humanism problem and the future directions of the Thai plastics and rubber industry,攊ssued that are being emphasized and taken up by well-known national organizations, such as the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), Thai-German Institute (TGI), The Research and Development Institute of Industrial Production (RDiPT) and The Petroleum and Petrochemical College, Chulalongkorn University.
