At IPF 2017, visitors kept Polystar’s booth very busy. Polystar Marketing Manager David Lo said that the company has sensed the drastic rise in demand for recycling machines in Japan. This is particularly attributed to the policy change as China bans the importation of plastics waste, which resulted in Japan-based companies having to deal with waste domestically. This has created two key shifts in the global recycling sector – first, an escalating demand from former plastic waste exporter; and second an outsourcing trend of Chinese companies to Southeast Asia. Polystar wishes to seize this opportunity to enter Japan, building on their sophisticated experiences and positive feedbacks they had received in Southeast Asia, Russia, Arabia, Italy. The feature of simple recycling with the phrase “recycling made simple” has also become a strong and successful brand impression among customers.
Polystar is building its new factory which will span 30,000 square meters, and will be finished by the end of next year. The new factory will contribute to the production and speed up delivery. The marketing manager David Lo expects Polystar’s proven excellence in more than 103 countries would be recognized by Japanese manufacturers via IPF 2017. Relying on the interests raised from its IPF participation this year, Mr. Lo said the company will consider enlarging the scale of exhibition at the next IPF to accommodate growing inquiries in Northeast Asia.
