THE CorPath 200 System by Corindus Vascular Robotics is the first and only robotic-assisted procedure for controlled placement of coronary guidewires and stent/balloon catheters from an optimised interventional cockpit. The technology is approved to assist interventional cardiologists (ICs) in the United States in performing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) for patients with coronary artery disease. The lead-lined cockpit protects the cardiologists from harmful radiation and the seated position in front of monitors provides enhanced view of the angiography screen while reducing fatigue and minimizing head, neck and back strain.
