Safe, efficient Enerpac hydraulic powers CAT Thai production

Some of the safest, most precise and energy-efficient tools in the global Enerpac high-pressure hydraulic range are proving their reliability in service at CAT Thailand’s new Rayong facility for medium track-type tractors.

The 40,000 square meter facility, which commenced production in late 2012, produces medium-sized bulldozers (from 27 to 40 tons) used in a wide range of mining, construction, resource development and infrastructure activities throughout Southeast Asia.

Enerpac tools are used in a wide range of tasks in the assembly of D6 and D8 dozers, including fabrication, maintenance, bearings, lifting, frame assembly and pressing. D5 and D7 models are seen to be added to the production line in the near future.

The tools are supplied by authorized Enerpac distributor CAPE Industrial, which is also responsible for their servicing and maintenance in peak operating condition.

Enerpac are a proven global leader and CAPE has given us very good delivery times and service,” he added. “Although this plant has only been operating in recent years, CAT has used Enerpac tools in its other plants in Thailand as well as Japan, the US and China. The quality of the products, plus the wide range of tools available, made this an easy choice for us.”

CAT Rayong utilizes Enerpac technologies such as RCH 606 60-ton hollow plunger cylinders; ZU4 series portable hydraulic pumps; 700 bar XVARI XA air-over-hydraulic foot pumps; P39, P77 and P80 hand pumps; RC heavy duty cylinders in capacities from 10 to 50 tons; CLSG508 single-acting heavy lift cylinders; and heavy-duty ERS 30 Caterroller load skates.
