As Qatar forges ahead with infrastructure works and hotel building in line with its ambitious Tourism Strategy 2030, growing opportunities evoke confidence in the country’s in-demand hospitality sector.

Qatar is planning to invest $45bn in tourism projects over the next 14 years with eyes set on increasing overall annual arrivals to 7 million by 2030. There are currently 20,580 hotel rooms at various stages of development, with 41% accounting for 5-star properties. The branded hotel supply is set to record a 19% CAGR between 2017 and 2019.

Taking into account the sector’s profound potential, Hospitality Qatar, the country’s foremost exhibition for the hospitality, HORECA and franchising industries, returns this year for its 3rd edition with much variety on its plate.

Organized annually by IFP Qatar, Hospitality Qatar will take place from 7 to 9 November at the state-of-the-art Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, in the heart of the Doha’s city center.

With a keen focus on pairing industry professionals with bona fide opportunities, Hospitality Qatar provides a comprehensive platform for local and international hospitality investors, hoteliers, restaurateurs, and café operators and suppliers to showcase their latest products and services, seize lucrative business opportunities and meet with developers, bankers, consultants, and franchise investors.

The show has established a refined B2B matchmaking program to optimize the participants’ experience and return on investment. The free service automatically pairs up the requirements of hospitality industry buyers with those of suppliers and retailers exhibiting at the expo, and allows for meetings to be scheduled in a private setting.

In light of an emergent opportunity in Qatar’s highly-demanding food sector today, Hospitality Qatar 2017 is bringing a new addition to the table. HQ-Food Qatar is a platform particularly designed to serve the food and catering industry.
In response to a swelling demand for high-quality food products, HQ-Food Qatar provides the central stage for food and agricultural produce traders, suppliers, manufacturers, and other industry specialists, to meet major buyers and ink sizeable deals.

This year, Hospitality Qatar will bring forward its well-acclaimed Salon Culinaire, crowned with culinary talent and artistry. Competing for top honors across a variety of categories, Qatar’s top chefs will present their masterpieces to a panel of professional judges.

Also returning this year is the Live Cooking Competition, starring seasoned chefs that will create stand-out dishes during a vigorous face-off live on the spot, giving visitors a chance to watch and learn from the best. On the other hand, the Mocktail Competition will set the stage for the industry’s top bartenders to test their knowledge and show off their skills and gimmicks. The competition offers a juicy opportunity for bartenders to create and serve the best Mocktail in town.

Hospitality Qatar will also feature several specialized workshops that welcome experts from top disciplines to keep abreast of the latest developments in the hospitality industry, allowing for a fluid exchange of valuable information and acquired know-how.

Boasting a holistic approach to the hospitality and F&B markets in Qatar, Hospitality Qatar 2017 is playing a major role in helping suppliers from around the world reach industry-targeted visitors and clinch striking deals.

“We are here in Hospitality Qatar as the Hygiene Sponsor, for the 2nd year in a row and we are so proud to be part of this event. It is a platform for us to share with stakeholders in Qatar our new services and technologies,” said Rasha Naja, Marketing Coordinator at Boecker Public Safety LLC, about her company’s experience at Hospitality Qatar.
