A jury of food industry experts makes their choice – 10 out of 151 make it to the finals. The winners will be named during the SIAL Innovation Awarding Ceremony on May 5

XAVIER Terlet, president and founder of XTC World Innovation has announced the 10 finalists of the SIAL Innovation Awards. 

The jury considered health, packaging and customer convenience in selecting the SIAL Innovation finalists, which came down to 10 from 151 excellent and innovative products.  The prize-winning products highlight developments important to the Asian as well as Chinese food industry, and feature quality ingredients and product design. These products will be seen at SIAL CHINA trade show (booth  numbers  indicated  below), and the SIAL Innovation area at Hall W4.  

LISE BACCARA - Boyard Spirit

Country: France. Booth # W4 C 086

Cognac, vodka and fruit cocktail in a bottle with French historical monument shape, Fort Boyard. 100% natural French ingredients. Polyethylene bottle, 100% recyclable. Selected for the recipe and the recyclable packaging.

Environmentally-friendly organic olive oil. Olives harvested manually. Drip irrigation for the olive trees. During the olive oil production process, organic waste such as pits and pulp are separated from the rest. Pits are used as fuel in the oil mill's central heating. The rest of the pulp is used to make compost to fertilize the crop's soil.  Selected for the ecological manufacturing process.

SIAL Innovation is the only international competition with a presence in the four corners of the world. It is held partnership with XTC World Innovation. All the winners will benefit from the unique opportunity  of travelling the world by displaying their products in a dedicated area, called World Champions Tour, within all the SIAL network shows,  which take place in Canada, Toronto and Montreal,  China, the Philippines,  Indonesia, France and the Middle East.

SIAL Innovation finalists and the World Champions Tour will be in hall W4 from 5 to 7 of May 2016.
