SLM, ROSSWAG, CRONIMET to develop alloys for AM

SLM Solutions Group AG (SLM Solutions), a supplier of metal-based additive manufacturing technology, has today agreed a partnership with ROSSWAG GmbH ("Rosswag") and CRONIMET Holding GmbH (CRONIMET). The partnership aims to jointly develop special and high-performance alloys for application in additive manufacturing.

Uwe Bögershausen, Management Board member of SLM Solutions Group AG, comments: "We're very pleased to announce this partnership with Rosswag and CRONIMET. Both companies are proven specialists in their respective areas. This partnership supports us on our continued path to becoming an integrated solution provider in the field of additive manufacturing." Rosswag will take over the production and optimisation of the jointly developed metal powders. CRONIMET will supply the processed raw materials for atomisation from its CRONIFOND product line. SLM Solutions contributes the requisite know-how from additive manufacturing and will assume responsibility for the exclusive distribution of the metal powders that are developed.

Thanks to this partnership between SLM Solutions, Rosswag and CRONIMET, SLM Solutions customers will soon enjoy access to further and even more extensive solutions in the materials area.
