SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association promotes NPE2018 at K 2016

At K 2016, SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association kicked off the march toward its signature trade show, NPE2018: The Plastics Show, which will take place May 7-11, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. NPE will showcase new exhibits in 2018, the most notable of which is the first-ever Bottle Zone, a featured area on the trade show floor for buyers seeking solutions in one of the fastest growing segments of the plastics manufacturing industry.

“Revenue in the bottling industry is expected to grow by $1.3 billion over the next five years,” said SPI Senior Vice President of Membership and Business Development Mark Garrison. “Companies serving this segment of the plastics industry continue to push the envelope in developing lighter packaging that saves costs in terms of raw polymers, energy and transportation. The Bottle Zone at NPE2018 will feature the innovations, technologies and strategies these businesses are using to meet the demands of brand owners and consumers.”

The organization also bares the other highlights of the NPE2018 show floor which include: Re|focus Sustainability & Recycling Summit, which will co-locate with NPE in 201; 3D/4D Zone, which will feature the latest in 3D- and 4D-printing technologies; Additional Technology & Design Zones, which will spotlight state-of-the-art advancements for specific plastics technologies and processes.

Re|focus Sustainability & Recycling Summit will return for its second year June 27-29, 2017 in Orlando, Florida, as part of the Plastics Industry Event Series. This groundbreaking conference gathers the entire plastics industry supply chain together to find new ways to reduce waste, increase the use of recycled content and increase the recyclability of plastics. Finally, the first-ever Plastics Shop Floor Expo, to be held June 14-15, 2017 in Rosemont, IL, completes the series by focusing on the operation and maintenance of equipment throughout the plastics and packaging supply chains. Co-located with Amerimold, this new event will provide attendees with a complete shop floor experience to research and find the necessary products, services and technologies to keep plastics manufacturing businesses running year-round.

NPE2018, which has already started breaking records two years before the show officially opens, is the cornerstone of the Plastics Industry Event Series, a three-event suite of programs designed by SPI to help meet the needs of the growing plastics industry.
