In 2017, plant-based food consumption grew to reach 300% over just the last year. In 2018, the report says 51% of chefs introduced vegan menu items, and this contributed to an increase of 31% from the previous year. It’s pretty clear vegan diets and plant-based foods will be part of the trends in 2019 and even beyond.
