GIDA 2011 is an opportunity for profitable business, full access and a close look at the rich content of the Turkish and global food & beverage market

 ORGANISED as an opportunity for profitable business, full access and a close look at the rich content of Turkish and global food market, GIDA 2011 – the 19th International Food Products and Processing Technologies Exhibition – will be held from 22 to 25 September 2011 in Istanbul Expo Centre, Cnr Expo / Turkey.
Being the most important exhibitions of Turkey in their respective fields, the events will bring together the giants of the sector throughout the four days, and display to the professional visitors the latest developments, innovations and opportunities in the sector. GIDA 2011 will feature 500 participant companies, 410 of which were local and 90 international. Over 40,000 trade visitors are expected at the event.

Successful trade event
As part of the procurement team organised by Istanbul Exporters' Association (IIB) in co-ordination with Undersecretariat of The Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade, 84 professionals from 76 companies from the following countries visited the event: Albania, Azerbaijan, Ethiopia, Palestine, Iran, Israel, Kenya, Hungary, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Senegal, Singapore, Tunisia, Jordan and Greece. The event also hosted other professional visitors from various countries including The USA, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, China, India, Netherlands, The UK, Italy, Korea, Kosovo, Macedonia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Taiwan and Ukraine.
A total of 300 companies, 250 of which were local and 50 international, participated in the event and the event hosted around 22 thousand local and international visitors. During the exhibition, companies that have been supporting the event for 10 years were given 10th Anniversary Plaques.

Market opportunities
GIDA 2011 is the right time and place to discuss strategies for the key issues facing global food industry around the world. The share of hypermarkets in the overall retail market in Turkey is on the rise, and consumer spending is growing. The last edition of the fair brought the most important brands of the food sector to the visitors for four days and became an important platform where new business contacts have been established and recent developments have been followed closely.
