Tate & Lyle’s PLC STA-LITE® Polydextrose facility in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China, which underwent upgrades including capacity expansion, is now complete and online. The capacity is now three times more from when Tate & Lyle acquired it in 2014. The facility’s packaging capabilities, and advanced environmental management infrastructure and systems have been improved.
STA-LITE® Polydextrose is a soluble fibre with proven nutritional benefits that food producers use to provide fibre enrichment, and body and texture, in reduced sugars and calorie products. It is used in products such as cereals, drinking yoghurts, fermented beverages, biscuits and pastries.
