Highlights of the Swiss Pavilion

Rolf Frei, Director of the organizing Trade Office points out: “Swiss companies showcase innovative and flexible solutions in the production process. Higher precision, speed and productivity as well as user-friendly controls are of utmost importance to increase competitiveness and upgrade the industry. The Swiss machine tool industry offers a comprehensive production range in the mid to high performance segments of cutting, forming, and special purpose machines. Swiss companies concentrate on demanding technical problems that require new solutions, which are tailored to the customer’s specific needs by applying the latest technologies available. Customers of Swiss machine tools are mainly in the machinery, automotive, aerospace, aircraft, optical medical, micro-mechanic, and watches industries. It has become evident that specialized high-performance machines are often the better alternative than lower priced general-purpose equipment when operating costs such as power consumption, unit cycle times and yield of the manufacturing process are also taken into account.”
