| PROCEDURE |
| With high shear agitation, combine Water and Dissolvine. Begin moderate stirring and heat to 60°C. Melt the Gransil VX 405 at 70°C and add to the hot water. In a separate vessel premix Phase B, when Phase A is homogeneous add Phase B and stir with appropriate shear to avoid aeration. Heat batch to 80°C. At 80°C add Phase C. Stir until dissolved. In a separate vessel combine Phase D ingredients and stir until iron oxide is fully dispersed. Add Phase D to main batch. Homomix to disperse pigment if necessary. In a separate vessel combine all Phase E ingredients and heat to 80?C and stir until completely melted. Add Phase E to main batch and stir with high shear until smooth and homogeneous. Cool batch to 70°C. Add the Optiphen, then slowly add Syntran 5760CG and stir until batch is smooth and homogeneous. Cool batch to 60?C. Slowly add the Xiameter PMX 0245. Homomix again if needed. Adjust pH to 7.8 to 8.2 as needed. Properties: pH – 7.8 -8.2; Solids – 34 36%. Description: The unique-film forming properties of Interpolymer SYNTRAN? 5760CG polymer creates quick drying, glossy film with good adhesion to hair and enhanced capability to disperse pigments. Formula has superior water resistance yet, washes off easily with soap and water. |
