Battenfeld taken over by Wittmann Following the consent of the board of creditors and subject to an inspection in accordance with the anti-trust laws, the Austrian manufacturer of injection molding machines, Battenfeld, will in future be part of the Wittmann Group. Chinese rubber industry expected to grow 12% in 2008Automotive industry will continue to be the driving force of the rubber industry in China in 2008, according to Fan Rende, Secretary General of the China Rubber Industry Association (CRIA). In a recent rubber market development forum organized by CRIA in Yunnan province, in southwestern China, Mr Fan forecast that this year China's rubber industry would see an increase of around 12% year-on-year. For tire sales, he expected a 15% growth on the tire sales.
