Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and its Group of Companies are participating, as an associate sponsor, in the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) 2012, held under the patronage of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center from January 16 to 19.

The summit’s activities, along an exhibition, are expected to receive estimate attendance exceeding 26,000; comprising 3000 representatives from energy companies, 650 exhibitors from 140 countries including 20 pavilions from the UAE.

ADNOC & its Group of Companies look toward a distinct and active presence at WFES that is being held for the 5th consecutive year in Abu Dhabi, along an accompanied exhibition. Abu Dhabi has been a global platform for launching dialogue and exchange of views between the world’s leaders and heads of the industrial sector, policy makers, investors and experts of energy sector to discuss ways of finding solutions to world challenges of providing safe and sustainable energy.

In line with the directives and leadership of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, ADNOC & its Group of Companies put the sustainable development issue on top of their priorities as a driving force toward improving life and economic stability for future generations.  This has been conducted with commitment to practice their commercial activities with high responsibility – taking into consideration the current needs of society and those of the generations to come.  ADNOC adopts various initiatives in this regard and exerts maximum efforts toward the consolidation of sustainable development and the availability of sustainable energy.

ADNOC & its Group of Companies will be looking forward to achieve a dynamically active participation at the summit.  Yet, at the exhibition, ADNOC aims at shedding the light upon and expose the initiatives that its group has launched in providing clean energy.  This has been demonstrated through the reduction of CO2 emissions with zero target in gas flaring, mechanisms and means of preserving energy, the usage of natural gas and utilizing it as an alternative fuel for vehicles, and industrial projects within such context.
