Lipotec Introduces a New Anti-aging Ingredient

Lipotec introduces Seacode?, a new active ingredient of marine origin with proven anti-aging efficacy. It enhances the synthesis of essential dermal proteins such as collagen I, contributing to the amelioration of the structural properties of the skin while combating visible aging signs.  Seacode? showed in vivo to reduce lipstick lines with statistically significant result after only 1 week of treatment.

Seacode? contains Extracellular Polymeric Substances (ECPS) from Pseudoalteromonas bacterias and has been obtained through biotechnology. Bacteria, algae and fungi inhabiting extreme marine ecosystems have the potential to synthesise and secrete numerous functional ECPS in response to environmental stress, with potential cosmetics benefits.

The anti-wrinkle evaluation of the new ingredient showed in vivo a statistically significant reduction of the skin roughness above the upper lip by 16.5% and 25.1% after 1 and 4 weeks respectively of applying a cream containing  2% Seacode?, visibly improving lipstick lines. These results confirmed Seacode? as an excellent ally to all ages and skin types in formulations directed at rejuvenating the skin.
