Personal Care Delivery Systems Continue to Expand to 2020

Development of delivery system is on the rise, and Asia is emerging as the fastest-growing market, according to a new report by Persistence Market Research (PMR).

The report, titled Global Market Study on Delivery Systems in Personal Care: Asia to Witness Highest Growth by 2020 states that, the global personal care delivery systems market will be valued at $ 543,373 million by the end of 2020; much of the growth is anticipated in Asia. The market will exhibit a CAGR of 7.8% over its 2014 value of $ 345,287 million. PMR says an intensified focus on improving the health and vitality of skin has proven to be the greatest growth driver for the global delivery systems in personal care market.

Delivery systems, by virtue of stabilizing active ingredients to boost the performance of cosmetic products, are now finding newer applications in the cosmetics and beauty industry. Active ingredients are necessary to enable skin care products to “do their stuff,” and delivery system acts just like their “carriers”. The report segments the global delivery systems in the personal care market on the basis of usage areas including at-home and salons. In the near future, PMR says at-home personal care devices will gain much traction, and this trend will have a strong bearing on the market.
