2016 China Personal Care & Cosmetics Innovation Awards Call for Entry!

2016 China Personal Care & Cosmetics Innovation Awards is now opening for entries up until January 15th, 2016.Only new products and solutions launched during 2014-2016 in the China’s market are eligible to enter the awards selection process.

In 2016, the award criteria have some adjustments:
1) Safety compliance ensured by scientific data/reports/certificates.
2) Efficacy/Functionality, either higher than other similar products or first of its kind in the industry, all of which are supported by scientific data/reports/certificates.
3) Cost-effectiveness higher above the average.
4) Green/Sustainable, lower than average environmental impact across the entire product lifecycle, from material sourcing, production and operation, to disposal practice, supported by valid assessment.

For the 6th CPCIA, the award consists of four categories:
Active Ingredients: Moisturizing / Hydrating, Anti-aging, Whitening/Brightening/Complexion improvement, UV stabilizing/Filtering, Others (including anti-pollution/inflammatory/adipose etc.);
Functional Ingredients: Emulsifying/Stabilizing, Sensory enhancing, Delivery system, Preserving, Others;
Processing & Packaging & Testing: Processing/Packaging Machinery, Package (including materials/components), Testing equipment;
Green/Sustainable NEW! : You are welcome to apply for as long as your products have lower than average environmental impact across the entire product lifecycle, from material sourcing, production and operation, to disposal practices, supported by valid assessment.

Following the Entry & Nomination Stage, evaluation process combined of judge panel and online voting by end-users will take place from January 18 to January 28.
The judging panel consists of six personal care & cosmetics industry experts, including:
Mr. Yang Fuxin, Expert with State Department Special Allowance, Director of Packaging Technology Research Institution, Shanghai Ocean University;
Prof. Dong Shufen, Cosmetic Office Administer of China Association of Fragrance Flavor and Cosmetic Industries;
Prof. JinQizhang, Deputy President of China Association of Fragrance Flavor and Cosmetic Industries;
Prof. Huiliang Li, Senior Engineer, Member of Chinese Medical Association;
Dr. Jiangzhong Yang, Technical expert in hair care/styling, President of Japan-China Cosmetic Exchange Association, President of Asia Scalp Health Research Center, Principal Scientist & CEO of Beauty Research Innovation Company;
Dr. Weiping Mei, China Coordination R & D, Beiersdorf AG.

Winners will be announced at the award ceremony on March 1, coinciding with PCHi 2016 in Shanghai, when all the winners, judges, industry professionals and media are present.

Co-organized by Happi China, Ringer Trade Media, the Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients Show 2016 (PCHi 2016), Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions Co., Ltd. and China Personal Care and Cosmetic Industry Alliance, the awards are presented to a select group of innovators each year in China. The purpose of the award is to encourage, acknowledge and reward those individuals and companies who have introduced and developed a new idea, a new methodology, a new product or a new technology for manufacturing production efficiency, cost effectiveness, user convenience, which might result in energy saving and more responsible clean manufacturing in the personal care & cosmetics industry.

The Ringier Technology Industry Awards Series have been established since 2006 and will cover 5 different industries this year. They are recognized as being the most honest, transparent and fairest of such industry awards in China. Nominations are open to all and the final selections are made by the panel of independent judges (70%) combined with online voting by end users (30%). Simply put, the awards cannot be bought!

In 2015, around 26 innovative products across 12 different categories, including cationHA from Bloomage Freda, BIOXELL from AXIALYS INNOVATIONS, Moisture Beads Cream from Azelis, were recognized as winners.
